Bereavement Issues
Bereavement Issues
Everyone at some point experiences bereavement and we have our own individual way of coping with loss. However for some, the grieving process is protracted or incomplete. In some cases, there is no adequate emotional support from others as they are grieving too or the person has no family and few friends. Sometimes the grieving process is also interrupted by the person having to look after other family members or by practical considerations. In such cases a counselling can help to give the grief perspective and enables the person to express repressed feelings in order to come to terms with the loss.
Grief is not limited to bereavement alone and similar feelings can be generated at the ending of a relationship, such as in divorce.
